Nier:Replicant - How to get all ending's guide (No Spoilers)

Updated: May 22, 2021

Nier Replicant Ver.1.22474487139... the modern upgrade of the hidden gem on the PS3 is now available on the current gen. Bringing the original version that was only released in Japan to the West. Integrating both the Japanese Replicant version and the Nier Gestalt Western version.

The game is filled with secrets, yet the new version brings with it for the re-release a brand new secret ending, Ending E.

While the original's had 4 endings, the new Remaster/Upgrade houses the new special ending for both new and veteran Nier fans. Here are the 5 Endings available in

Nier: Replicant Ver.1.22... and how to get them.

ENDING A

Ending A is the first ending the player has access to. It is easily gained by completing the main story as normal from beginning to end. Achieving this ending will allow the player to save the game after the credits. This save data will be accompanied by an A symbol on the save data selection screen, so you know it has registered the Ending A completion.

ENDING B

Ending B, much like Ending A is very simple to achieve. simply load up your Ending A save data and the game will continue from the halfway point of the story. This time there will be additional scenes throughout the story and subtle differences adding exposition to many points of the story. The ending is achieved once you beat the final boss again. Like Ending A, once you beat the story the second time and have gone past the credits. Save your game and you will have an annotation showing Ending B on the save data screen.

ENDING C

This is where things get a bit more complex. Ending C is achieved by collecting all 33 weapons in the game, excluding DLC weapons. So this means all one-hand swords, two-hand swords and spears, must be collected to see Ending C and Ending D.

When close to the final boss make a save at the closest save point possible, this will help when trying to get Ending D. Complete the fight with the Boss and if you have collected all 30 weapons, you will start a new final boss fight. Once defeated, you will have a choice to kill or spare a certain character. To achieve Ending C make sure you choose to kill them.

MAKE SURE TO KILL THEM - AS CHOOSING TO SPARE THEM AT THIS POINT, WILL LOCK YOU OUT OF GETTING ENDING C.

ENDING D

To achieve Ending D, simply reload your save data that you made just before the Ending C boss fight. When you go through the fight, you will come to the kill or spare decision again. Choose to spare the character, as this will let you see Ending D, but at a massive cost. This ending will delete all your save data.

If you want to complete any left over content such as side-quests you may have missed, make sure to do so before attempting Ending D.

ENDING E

Brand new to the Remaster Nier: Replicant Ver. 1.22...

To achieve this ending is quite simple, once achieving Ending D, go ahead and replay the game as normal by starting a new game completely. You will have to put in a different name when starting the new game, as you cannot use your previous playthrough's name.

When reaching about a quarter way through the story (When fighting the Boss at The Aerie with Kainé), simply finish the boss fight, this will start the new ending and a completely different set of events which will last just under 3 hours. The pay off is definitely worth all the hassle of getting ending A,B,C and D.

Once you complete Ending E you will even be able to restore the save data that was deleted after Ending D.

And that's it, following this guide you can see all the endings that the masterpiece remaster has to offer, achieving some nifty achievements along the way.
